Balgonie Castle - owned through marriage by a distant cousin!

Before we headed to the MacDuff Castle, we stopped by the Balgonie Castle to meet Stuart and Kelly Morris. It is located east of Glenrothes, Fife, Scotland. Stuart's family owns this castle, and Kelly is a distant Colville Cousin! This castle is in the process of being restored and the Morris family live in one section of the castle while work is being completed to repair the remainder portions of the castle. We had a lovely visit with Stuart, his father ( a true Scotsman with the beautiful Scottish accent to go with it) and Kelly. They took us on a tour through the castle and treated us to coffee, tea and treats. It was a delightful visit. They even put up a Texas flag to welcome us!! What a delight!
The castle is available for one to rent for use for weddings. I can just picture beautiful receptions in the lovely courtyard, and a lovely medieval setting in the chapel for the wedding. A splendid place for a beautiful wedding.
Here are various pictures of the castle, the chapel and the lovely family that owns it.

This would be such a magical place to have a wedding!

From here, we left in pursuit of MacDuff Castle, which I have already posted..........Next, our trip through Cleish, searching for another Colville castle history!
